It was cold outside today, the kind of cold that asks you to slow down.
I was alone, and I set up my little comfort space. I spread my bedsheet on the sofa, placed the pillows the way I like them, brought my snacks, switched on the TV, and pulled the curtains closed. Everything felt settled.
Before sitting down, I made myself a cup of garam ginger chai. Warm, comforting, familiar. Holding that cup felt like taking care of myself in the simplest way.
As the series played, the cold lingered, so I pulled my spread over me and got cozy. Wrapped up, sipping chai, I let the moment be exactly what it was quiet, warm, unhurried.
Nothing dramatic. Nothing planned. Just my own time, enjoyed fully.
Some days don’t need more than this ❤️☕
